Buying devices

Allied operates an Apple-only fleet. If you need a device for work, request one through the order form — the COS office will handle the purchase and make sure the device auto-enrols on Apple Business Manager and our MDM, Iru.

Request a device

Entitlement

Use this as a guide for what to request on the form.

RoleDevice family
Engineers, Developers, Data Scientists, Designers — anyone who needs meaningful local compute for running models, containers, or design toolsMacBook Pro family
Non-technical generalistsMacBook Air or Neo family
Staff who want to delineate work and lifeAllied-issued phone and SIM card — typically the entry-level iPhone (currently iPhone 17e)

Right-size the spec on order — discuss with your manager or the COS office if you are unsure.

For authorised purchasers

This section is for the COS office and anyone else authorised to buy devices on Allied's behalf. Use one of the two routes below so devices auto-enrol on Apple Business Manager and Iru. Do not buy from consumer channels (apple.com retail, third-party resellers) — those devices cannot be auto-enrolled and will need manual provisioning.

In store

Take the following Allied details to the business desk at any Apple Store:

DetailValue
Apple Customer Number1826579
Company NameTHE ECONOMIC COMPETITIVENESS PROJECT LIMITED
Org ID69809902
DUNS Number231147493
Address20 Market Street, ALTRINCHAM, WA14 1PF

In-store purchases: leave the device boxed overnight before unboxing and powering on. The enrolment record can take several hours to propagate from Apple to Iru; opening too early means the device will not pick up the MDM profile on first boot.
