Functions
Functions show accountability. Each function owns a defined set of outcomes and handoffs. They tell you who to engage for decisions and delivery. A function may be involved across multiple domains and programmes. This page is Allied’s definitive list; each function is defined below.

Executive
Purpose: Capital, top-level partnerships, commercial oversight, hiring.
Owns: Company-level direction, external credibility, top-level commitments.
Commercial
Purpose: Build and manage relationships, pipeline, commitments.
Owns: NDAs/MOUs/contracts, pricing intent, partnership structures.
Interfaces: Handoff to Delivery at commitment.
Delivery
Purpose: Execute commitments, deployments, partner/customer success.
Owns: Implementation, mission success, feedback loop into product/engineering.
Hardware & Production
Purpose: Physical system design authority and manufacturing readiness.
Engineering: Design authority, change/configuration, verification logic.
Production: Supplier control, manufacturing quality, traceability.
Research & Intelligence
Purpose: Intelligence, analysis, enabling function across org.
Owns: Research outputs, sensing, analytic support.
Business Operations
Purpose: Internal tempo, operating cadence, structure and coordination.
Owns: Planning rhythms, systems, process design.
Compliance
Purpose: Regulatory adherence, compliance controls, audit readiness, assurance.
Owns: Compliance workstreams, control evidence, external audit coordination, certification maintenance.
Risk
Purpose: Risk posture, enterprise risk management.
Owns: Risk management model, risk register, risk appetite.
Executive / Governance
Purpose: Corporate governance and oversight.
Legal (GC): Advisory, contracts, legal interpretation; independent.
Finance: Runway, budgeting, forecasting, board reporting.
