Google Drive Conventions

Google Drive (Shared Drives) is the collaborative workspace for working documents, drafts, slides, spreadsheets, PDFs, and partner-shared materials.

What lives in Drive​

  • Working documents and drafts
  • Slides, spreadsheets, PDFs, diagrams
  • Partner-shared materials
  • Sensitive files (protected via Shared Drive access boundaries)

What does not live in Drive (definitive)​

  • Policy (final → Git)
  • Governance decisions (→ Git)
  • Organisational structure (→ Git)

Drive may contain working drafts; final definitive versions belong in Git.

  • Allied – Core (broad access)
  • Allied – Commercial (restricted)
  • Allied – Projects (access per project)
  • Allied – Finance (restricted)
