Production Policy

Purpose

To establish Allied Production as a scalable, adaptable, and controlled production system owner that delivers released products safely, efficiently, and at the required rate and quality.

We pursue excellence in execution, production system performance, and continuous improvement, ensuring assembly, test, inspection, and logistics are repeatable, flexible, and aligned to product demand.

We operate with discipline, pragmatism, and accountability, using structured production systems, capable people, and AlliedOS to deliver robust output and rapid response to change.

Scope

Applies to all production activities including:

  • Manufacturing, assembly, test, and inspection execution
  • Work instruction use and production control
  • Production system operation, readiness, and reconfiguration
  • Build records, traceability, and process adherence
  • Production support to industrialisation, change, and rate variation
  • Resource, tooling, equipment, and workforce readiness
  • Production issue identification, containment, and escalation

Across the full production lifecycle from planning and readiness, New Product Introduction (NPI) and first builds, through to rate manufacture, scaling, and product change.

Core Position

Allied Production owns execution of the released product and process definition and the performance of the production system in delivering safe, repeatable, and scalable output.

Production does not own product definition; it executes, controls, and improves delivery to that definition and provides feedback to strengthen manufacturability, quality, and rate performance.

Engineering defines the product and process; Production executes and improves the production system to deliver against that definition.

Policy Pillars

1. Safety & Sustainable Operation

Production shall operate safely and sustainably at all times.

Principles:

  • Safety is never traded for output
  • Work is planned and executed within safe limits
  • Sustainable performance is required for long-term success

Rules:

Production operations are conducted safely at all times, and output does not override safe operation Production performance is delivered sustainably; burnout, unsafe effort, or unmanaged overload are not acceptable

2. Definition Control & Execution Integrity

Production executes only to clear, controlled, and released definition (the Manufacturing Data Package, MDP).

Principles:

  • Released definition is the basis of all work
  • Execution must be consistent and controlled
  • Traceability is inherent to production

Rules:

Production executes only to approved and released definition, with no unauthorised deviation Production records and traceability are maintained as part of normal execution

3. Quality Integrity & Root Cause Resolution

Quality is protected through immediate action and proper resolution.

Principles:

  • Issues are surfaced and addressed, never overlooked
  • Containment is immediate and appropriate
  • Problems are solved properly
  • Defects are not passed downstream; issues are addressed at the point of occurrence

Rules:

Quality concerns, deviations, and unsafe conditions are surfaced immediately and contained appropriately Problems are addressed at the point of occurrence and are not passed downstream unresolved Issues are resolved to verified root cause; the true cause is validated and corrective actions are implemented and closed swiftly

4. Continuous Improvement as Standard Work

Improvement is embedded in daily production activity.

Principles:

  • Continuous improvement is part of the standard work for all
  • Learning is clearly captured and applied
  • Improvement is driven by those closest to the work

Rules:

Continuous improvement is part of the production cadence and mandatory in normal work Improvement activities are visible and treated with equal importance to production rate and performance metrics Every operator and operation has the ability to provide feedback at the point of occurrence, quickly and easily

5. Flexible & Capable Production System

The production system and workforce are designed and developed for adaptability.

Principles:

  • Flexibility is designed into systems and people
  • Production adapts to change without loss of control
  • Workforce capability and engagement are central to system performance

Rules:

The production system shall support adaptation to product variation and rate change The workforce shall be developed for flexibility through cross-training and capability development

6. System Visibility & Team Alignment

Production operates as one system with shared goals, shared visibility, and consistent action.

Principles:

  • Production is a team sport
  • Goals, priorities, and system status are shared and visible across the production system
  • System performance and issues are made visible in real time
  • Visibility enables consistent action and improvement

Rules:

Production operates as one team aligned to shared goals for output, quality, safety, and engagement Production system performance, issues, and improvement activity are visible, measured, and actively managed

Governance

The CTO is accountable for this policy.

Compliance is ensured through:

  • Production processes
  • Production readiness and control reviews
  • Build record and traceability reviews
  • Change control and deviation management
  • Digital system controls within AlliedOS

Roles & Responsibilities

  • CTO: Accountable for this policy and its ongoing relevance and review
  • Production: Responsible for applying this policy in executing and improving the production system

Exceptions

Exceptions to this policy must be explicitly approved by the CTO (or delegated authority) and shall be time-bound where appropriate.

Review Cadence

This policy shall be reviewed every 6 months by the CTO to ensure continued relevance and effectiveness.
